As seen in this month’s Scrapbook Memories Scrap Shop section.

Retailers or wholesalers contact via info@raptinpaper.com.au

Did you see our interview on at CHA on You Tube with Scrapbook Dimensions ? The crowd qued up waiting for a turn to try the kits out for themselves.

Rapt In Paper kits are a perfect gift for Christmas. These are not like the flimsy cardstock kits you have seen before but heavy duty chipboard designed to be used. The kits include pre cut chipboard and glue sheets that act as a template, you simply choose your own papers, stick, cut and wrap the chipboard. Easy as that!

Party planners this is your chance to get in at the ground level with a new product range.

Rapt In Paper at the EKKA

Rapt In Paper was on exhibit at the recent QLD Ekka in Brisbane.
Congratulations goes to K McGrath for her winning submission of a little cook book. We are very proud of how pretty Rapt In Paper looked there too, complete with little velvet strawberries.

As we like to say at Rapt in Paper, because all the chipboard pieces are cut to size and glue sheets are your templates they can be a quick project to create allowing you to have more fun with decorating. In this case a vintage what-not box lined with fabric and lace. Can you see the little tiny album wrapped on a spool, it is just darling.

Retailers, if you would like high resolution images for the purposes of shop display or instructions on how to complete this project, drop me a line.

Formals and Weddings

Rapt in Paper handbags and little treasure boxes have been getting very dressed up in attending formals and weddings.

Can't wait to show you more after they have been unveiled. This is a little peek we can share with you. The special strong formulation of our patent pending glue paper allows you to wrap the chipboard kits in fabric. Normally that would be a bit tricky when it came to mitering the corners but our glue sheet really holds and folds.

It is exciting to see so many of the papercraft publications picking up Rapt In Paper. It really is great fun to see all the different ways in which people are using the product. Wanted to share a sneak peek of one of the Rapt In Paper albums that is going to become a Paris themed altered book. But you know what happens - out for publication and be back soon.

Rapt In Paper and Wrapped in Paper

Donna Macpherson editor of Scrapbooking Creations magazine, thought it was funny or serendipity to meet both Rapt In Paper and Wrapped in Paper at the recent SIA event in Sydney.
We can not think of anyone nicer than the girls from Canberra’s Wrapped in Paper store to share a similar name with and it made logical sense for Wrapped in Paper to be our premier store for Rapt in Paper in the ACT region.

Wrapped in Paper has been retailing a large range of scrapbooking and off the page products in Canberra for many years. They have been hosting classes with the new Rapt In Paper range and we can’t wait now to see their submissions to our gallery.

Find Rapt In Paper in Canberra at Wrapped in Paper
Shop 6-7, Gold Creek Cultural Centre, O'Hanlon Pl Nicholls ACT
We like to spotlight stores that are carrying the Rapt In Paper products. Send us your links, gallery submissions or class schedules to be included.

Design Team Member – Angella Peardon

Angella has been part of Rapt In Paper from the early days of development and we are always amazed at the different ways she finds to use the Rapt In Paper products.
Box with Ten Second Studio details.

More traditional scrapbooking styled box.

With an Honourable Mention in last year’s Scrapbooking Masters and Designer of the Year award at the SIA this year, we are sure that there is much more to be seen from Angella.

Well done Angella on all your accomplishments.

Rapt In Paper - In Store

Rapt In Paper takes the hard part out of creating unique altered or décor projects. All the measuring and templates are taken care of so you can get on to the fun part which is decorating.

Freshly Rapt In Paper

Seeing how everyone uses Rapt In Paper in their own style is really exciting.
We all have our own style and the best part of Rap In Paper is that because all the hard parts of measuring and scoring and templates for paper cutting has been dealt with you can concentrate on the fun stuff and decorate to your heart's content.
This is an example of the Octagon Box used as a little memory box, complete with velvet strawberries on top.

Exploding Box

We have had lots of requests for a tutorial on the exploding boxes that have been on show. Rapt In Paper's box makes the process pretty quick and simple.
Assemble the box to point 6, when you stop at covering the inside floor of your box, because that is where the exploding part fits in.

Cut (2) two pieces of cardstock
10 ½ inches long
measure at 3 ½ inches wide but cut one piece inside the line and one piece outside the line so one is a smigden bigger
The smaller strip fits inside the larger

Score at 3 ½ inch intervals = a strip with 3 x 3 ½ squares

Glue the centre square of the smaller strip ontop of the centre of the slightly larger strip

To add even more layers of fold outs, cut more 3 ½ strips and gluing to the outer squares to expand your box to all kinds of extremes.

Looking forward to your gallery submissions, the best part of Rapt In Paper products is with the chipboard base and easy assembly you can concentrate on the fun part, the decorating !

Reports from Brisbane Scrapbook Expo

The long weekend was a busy one for many happy scrappers.

Rapt In Paper put in a great showing at the expo, before the doors were opened to the public a publisher pulled another project off the shelf for future publication but the public sure did like what they saw.

As we said over and over again when demonstrating the kits, it is as easy as all that, peel and stick, no need to measure.

For the retailers who visited, please place your orders soon to ensure quick delivery of stock. Our current stockists who would like to be linked off of our blog space, should forward a link to your internet page, we like to let everyone know where to find Rapt In Paper in their own local area.

We are building up a gallery of everyone’s creations with the Rapt In Paper range, be sure to forward photos of what you have been up to with Rapt In Paper to be included in the prize draw competition.

Rapt In Paper Handbags

Quick status updates to confirm orders are being shipped and every bit of praise for our products has been appreciated from the design team and manufacturers.

Watching a the television news the other night there was an announcement that the government was concerned about the Logan – Beenleigh area and was considering special support for the number of small businesses that are shutting down.

We are proud to say that Rapt In Paper is all Australian manufacture and products, and better yet it is all small traders located here in south east Queensland. So when you are spending a dollar with Rapt In Paper it is like sending your mini version of an economic stimulus to small manufacturers. Thank you for your support of our product and our team.

SIA Sydney 2009

Rapt in Paper had a fabulous time at SIA in Sydney. It was great to network with other Australian manufacturers and exposure for our product range with everyone including editors of top quality magazines and scrapbook store owners.

Our very own Angella Peardon won Australian Designer of the Year. Always knew Angella was a star and all the awards she has received are well deserved.

Donna the editor of Scrapbooking Creations magazine, thought it was funny or Serendipity for Rapt In Paper to meet Wrapped in Paper under one banner. The girls from Canberra’s Wrapped in Paper store were lovely and our hero’s when they offered the Rapt In Paper team a lift to avoid the Sydney downpours.

Look for editorials and advertising in the next few weeks in Scrapbook Creations and Scrapbook Memories. Their journalists were drooling over our design team samples of the handbag, boxes and the little Australian Cottage album. Just as you will be when you see how easy it is to create something unique and personalised with our kits.

Please click the links above for wholesale orders.
